The Northwest route is the fast connection to and from the major seaports of Rotterdam (Netherlands) and Antwerp (Belgium). The connection to Calais also offers a link to Great Britain. Whether customers are transporting goods by block train or single wagon, the Dutch marshalling yard at Kijfhoek is a perfectly located hub for transports.
The high-performance lines within the northwest network, such as the Zeebrugge Shuttle or the Antwerp Shuttle, as well as the connection to Cologne-Gremberg and the Ruhr region, provide connecting services to important destinations and marshalling yards for onward transport to Italy, for example.
